The BlueNRG-2 is a very low power Bluetooth low energy (BLE) single-mode system-on-chip, compliant withBluetooth specifications.
The BlueNRG-2 extends the features of award-winning BlueNRG network processor, enabling the usage of theembedded Cortex M0 to run the user application code.
The BlueNRG-2 includes 256 kB of programming Flash memory, 24 kB of static RAM memory with retention (two12 kB banks) and SPI, UART, I2C standard communication interface peripherals. It also features multifunctiontimers, watchdog, RTC and DMA controller.
An ADC is available to interface with analog sensors, and to read the measurement of the integrated batteryvoltage sensor. A digital filter is available to process a PDM stream.
The BlueNRG-2 offers the same excellent RF performance of the BlueNRG radio, and the integrated highefficiency DC-DC converter keeps the same ultra-low power characteristics, but the BlueNRG-2 improves theBlueNRG sleep mode current consumption allowing a further increase in the battery lifetime of the applications.

BlueNRG-1/ BlueNRG-2開發板
The BlueNRG-1, BlueNRG-2 devices are low power Bluetooth? smart system on chip, compliant with the Bluetooth?specification and supporting master, slave and simultaneous master-and-slave roles. Further, BlueNRG-2 supports theBluetooth Low Energy data length extension feature.
The following BlueNRG-1, BlueNRG-2 kits are available:
1. BlueNRG-1 development platforms (order code: STEVAL-IDB007V1, STEVAL-IDB007V2)
2. BlueNRG-2 development platforms (order code: STEVAL-IDB008V1, STEVAL-IDB008V2)
The STEVAL-IDB007Vx, STEVAL-IDB008Vx also provide a set of hardware resources for a wide range of application scenarios:
sensor data (accelerometer, pressure and temperature sensor), remote control (buttons and LEDs) and debug messagemanagement through USB virtual COM. Three power options are available (USB only, battery only and external power supplyplus USB) for high application development and testing flexibility.
